Masa is head of Prime Services in Japan. He joined the firm as a vice president in 2019 and was named managing director in 2021.
Before joining Goldman Sachs, Masa was co-head of Prime Services Asia Pacific Capital introduction and Japanese equity sales at Deutsche Bank. Prior to that, he was head of Japan Capital Introduction at Merrill Lynch. Masa began his career in International Equity Sales at Merrill Lynch.
Masa is an international board member of Human Rights Watch and serves on the board of Marriage for All Japan.
Masa earned a BA in Public Policy from Keio University in 2000.
