Dani Williams

Principal Consultant, ESG, ACA Group

Dani joined ACA in January 2020 as a Principal Consultant in our London Office Compliance team.

Dani brings 10 years of in-house and consulting experience to this role, and currently specialises in sustainability and green finance alongside providing compliance guidance for alternative fund managers. She also assists in leading ACA’s initiatives on incoming environmental, social and governance (ESG) regulation. 

Prior to joining ACA, she served as an Associate Director at Optima Partners Advisory, working in their London and New York offices. There she advised largescale UK and US regulated asset managers, alternative fund managers, credit funds and private equity firms on their ongoing compliance obligations and conducted various regulatory projects. Dani worked with clients to scope and implement their regulatory change work and help them understand the commercial impact of directives and regulations such as AIFMD, MIFID II, EMIR, SMCR and NFA 2-9 updates. 

Before this, Dani worked for Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) in the New York and London offices. Here she held various roles focusing on the strategic planning and updates needed for the implementation of various regulatory requirements under AIFMD, MIFID and UCITS regulations.

Prior to becoming a compliance professional, Dani worked on several legal projects including the civil litigation case against Bernard Madoff.

Dani has a Graduate Diploma in Law from the College of Law, London and Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Politics from Richmond, the American International University, London.
