Mr. Kennedy is Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of MuTaka Capital KK based in Tokyo. Mr. Kennedy oversees the non-investment functions of MuTaka Capital and is also a member of the firm`s risk and valuation committees. From September 2009 until December 2018, Mr. Kennedy was the COO at Rogers Investment Advisors KK, an Asian focused investment and advisory platform. From January 2006 until August 2009, he was the COO for United Managers Japan Inc (UMJ), a multi-manager hedge fund platform. Prior to joining UMJ, Mr. Kennedy worked for Deutsche Bank for almost 9 years in the Operations Division of its Tokyo and London offices. His financial product experience encompasses equities, equity derivatives, futures & options, OTC swaps and fixed income / repo as well as a variety of alternative investment products including hedge funds and private equity with a specialization in operational due diligence.
Mr. Kennedy is a graduate of Dublin City University with a B.A. in International Marketing & Languages and also holds a post graduate diploma in Information Technology from Dublin City University. Mr. Kennedy holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (“CAIA") designation and was a founding committee member of the Japan CAIA chapter.
