Kei Muraki joined the Financial Services Agency in 2004 and has worked on various policy areas, including banking supervision/inspection, international financial regulatory reforms and data analysis. He also worked as an economist at IMF (2017-2020) for financial sector surveillance. Currently, he works as the Director for the Policy Planning Office at the JFSA, where he is responsible for planning and coordinating cross-departmental policies including the JFSA’s International financial center initiatives. He received a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Tokyo.
