Director, Prime Services Capital Introduction, Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets
Alana Johnston Gould is the Director of Capital Introduction at Scotiabank Prime Services. She is responsible for working with Scotiabank’s global hedge fund clients to support their growth by facilitating access to Canadian institutional and retail investors. Previously, Alana held roles in equity research and compliance with another investment dealer, built out an investor relations program for a Toronto-based alternative investment firm, and was a senior auditor in the financial institutions practice at a big-five accounting firm. Alana is a Member of the Executive Committee for the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA Canada) and was recognized with an Executive Leader award by Women in Capital Markets in 2020. She completed both Honours Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degrees at Memorial University of Newfoundland and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CA).
