Kamni Bharwani

Kamni has over 15 years of experience in the Asian financial industry, working closely with Asian hedge funds for the last 9 years. Prior to joining Archer Asia Team in 2009, she spent over 3 years at SAIL Advisors, a Hong Kong-based family office and fund of hedge funds (2005-2009). At SAIL she was a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager for two of the firm’s Asian Fund of Hedge Fund portfolios. She was also responsible for researching and recommending Asian Equity Long / Short and Event Driven hedge fund managers for the firm’s Global and Asian portfolios. Previously, Kamni spent 2 years with FinanceAsia (2003-2005), a leading Asian financial publication, where she was the writer responsible for spearheading the coverage and analysis of the Asian Hedge Fund industry for both the AsianInvestor magazine and the FinanceAsia.com website. Kamni started her career in the Mergers & Acquisitions division at Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division in Hong Kong where she worked on originating and executing financial transactions across the Asia Pacific Region (2000-2002). Kamni graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
