Thomas Barton

Thomas Barton is currently COO at Trovio, a technology and asset management firm focussing on both traditional and digital assets. He was previously COO of Aralian Capital, a Singapore based global macro hedge fund that he co-founded in 2018. Prior to Aralian, Thomas worked at Tudor Capital for over 12 years, most recently as head of their Singapore office. Thomas is also a current serving member of AIMA’s global council.
With over 16 years’ experience in global macro hedge funds, Thomas has a diverse skill set across middle office, risk, compliance, fund marketing and due diligence functions. Thomas has detailed knowledge of a wide range of markets across Asia, including insight into each market’s unique access routes and restrictions. He is also well versed in a variety of macro products, including FX, rates, equities, and their derivatives. Thomas began his career at Barclays Capital as an associate on the London Metal Exchange clearing floor.
