Chief Representative – Australia, Dubai International Chamber
Sophia Demetriades Toftdahl is the Chief Representative for Australia and New Zealand at Dubai International Chamber. In this capacity, she plays a pivotal role in facilitating international business and investment between Australia and Dubai, supporting Australian businesses seeking to expand into the Dubai market, and promoting Dubai as a strategic global business hub.
Prior to her role at Dubai International Chamber, Sophia was the founding President and a long-serving Director of the Norwegian Australian Chamber of Commerce (NACC), where she led the development of the strategy that resulted in the Chamber winning the International Chamber Award in 2018. She is also the main organiser of Euromix - a networking event for all EU Chambers in Australia, and a Co-Chair of Revenue Enablement Society (RES). Her extensive experience also includes roles in sales, program management, and business development across various sectors. She has held leadership positions at organisations such as 8x8, Isentia, UNSW Business School, and TAFE NSW.
Sophia holds a Master of Management, Bachelor of Arts with Honours, Bachelor of Communications, Diploma in Psychology and Philosophy, Certificate in Sales Enablement, Certificate of Coaching from IECL, and is a Certified Master Negotiator.
