Partner, PwC Tax Japan
Akemi Kito is a partner in the financial services group of PwC Tax Japan, where she leads the banking capital market and asset management sectors. She specialises in tax consulting for financial institutions and real estate companies, and in the development of various financial products and investment funds including Japanese real estate investment trusts (REITs).
In addition, Ms. Kito also serves as the leader of the PwC Tax Japan Tax Policy Section’s Knowledge Center, and is responsible for monitoring tax policy developments and overseeing PwC Tax Japan’s tax bulletins and other communications. She is an active participant in tax policy discussions, attending workshops and committees sponsored by government agencies and industry associations.
Ms. Kito is a licensed Japanese certified public accountant and certified public tax accountant. She graduated from the Law Faculty of Kyoto University.
