Executive Managing Director, Capital Markets, Ontario Teachers Pension Plan
Gillian Brown leads the Capital Markets group, which manages cross asset liquid Total Fund exposures and active risk taking in Credit and Absolute Return asset classes. The Capital Markets team also supports all of Ontario Teachers' investment groups through their centralized trading function.
Since joining Ontario Teachers' in 1995, Gillian has held progressively senior roles; she was most recently the Managing Director, Credit, Insurance Linked Securities, Equity Products in our Capital Markets team, and prior to that she was the Director of Derivative Strategies and Trading within the Tactical Asset Allocation department.
Gillian has more than 20 years of industry experience in public securities investment management. She earned a B.Comm from McGill University, is a CFA charterholder and a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors. She is also on the Board of Canada Guaranty, one of Ontario Teachers’ portfolio companies.
