Climate Risk and Strategy Partner, KPMG
Begoña Ramos Justo has more than 20 years of experience having worked in the financial services consulting and banking industries in different European countries. During her time in Grupo Santander, she was the Head of Enterprise and Climate Change Risk.
She led several transformational programs: RWA Optimization and Economic Capital Integration, Risk Appetite Statement & Framework Embedding and the European Central Bank Asset Quality Review. Since 2018, she led Santander's efforts in embedding climate change risk and the BoE and ECB Climate Change Stress Testing exercises and was also instrumental in the development of an impact investment fund.
Begoña joined KPMG in early 2022 and she is the Financial Services lead Partner for Climate Change Risk & Strategy. She is working with major financial institutions across the industry on their Climate and Nature agendas. She helps them comply with the regulatory requirements and an identify business opportunities in the transition to a low carbon economy.
