Catherine provides strategic direction, leadership and oversight of the Global Investment Solutions Fixed Income team. The team is responsible for the development and execution of global fixed income strategies and recommendations, thought leadership and supporting relationship managers and advisors in portfolio construction while offering guidance on investor solutions.
Catherine joined Scotia Wealth Management in 2024 from Scotiabank Global Banking & Markets where she was Director, Credit Strategy for Credit Sales & Trading. Catherine has more than 25 years of buy- and sell-side global fixed income investment management experience across pension plans (OPTrust Pension Plan Trust Fund), institutional (Fiera Capital) and mutual fund management (CI Financial/Sentry). She has expertise in all facets of capital markets, fixed income strategy and portfolio management that spans global sovereigns, corporate and structured credit/securitization, convertible bonds, preferred shares and equities. Catherine is a Chartered Financial Analyst and graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts (Economics).
