Mark Voumard

Mark is Founder and CEO of Gordian Capital Asia’s largest (AUMUS$9.1bn) independent, institutional fund platform with operations in Singapore and Tokyo and a presence in Melbourne and Shanghai. https://gordian-capital.com/.  Over the last four decades, Mark has lived and worked in Asia’s primary financial centres, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore.

First based in Tokyo in 1983, he is a fluent Japanese speaker. Active in alternatives since 1998, since 2005 at Gordian Capital, he has launched in excess of 100 alternative funds, across multiple strategies including hedge, absolute return, long only, private equity, real estate, venture capital, infrastructure and private credit, across multiple structures and domiciles.

Mark is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and the International Bar Association (IBA). He represents Gordian Capital as a member of AIMA Singapore (since 2007), the Singapore Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (SVCA), the Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS) and the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN). In March 2021, he was appointed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”), as an inaugural Executive Committee Member and Co-Chair of the Promotion and Advocacy,  Working Group of the recently launched Singapore Funds Industry Group ("SFIG"), a collaboration between the MAS and the Singapore funds industry tasked with leading the development and sustainable growth of Singapore’s asset management industry.

Mark who was born in Melbourne and holds both Australian and Swiss citizenship, studied Economics and Japanese at Monash University.
