Andrew Brown

Andy Brown is a senior financial services executive with 30yrs of leadership experience in investment management, investment banking and corporate banking. He is currently Chief Investment Officer of HakuCapital, a family office based in Hong Kong with a global, multi-asset mandate investing across the capital structure. He is also Sr. Advising Partner at ShoreVest Capital, a private credit asset management firm specializing in Chinese distressed debt and structured loans. Andy was previously the CIO of Pan Asia for Cheyne Capital and has worked at senior levels in the investment banking industry, including as Global Head of banking research at Morgan Stanley where he led the team globally, and as Global Head of Emerging Markets financial institutions research at Deutsche Bank leading the analyst team across Latin America, Eastern Europe, South Africa, and Asia. Andy was #1 ranked in investor polls eight years in a row before moving to the hedge fund industry. He attended the MBA program at University of Richmond, earned his B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech, and is a CFA charter holder.
