Michael Liu is the portfolio manager for Barings’ China fixed income platform. Michael has worked in the industry since 2008 and has extensive experience in credit and fixed income investment. Prior to joining Barings in 2019, Michael worked as a fixed income PM at Wanjia Asset Management where he managed various fixed income funds with good return track records. Before that, he spent time as an assistant PM at Franklin Templeton Sealand Fund, and as a credit analyst at Ping An Trust and China Industrial Bank. Michael received his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Wuhan University and Master’s degree in Economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
