Ram Ahluwalia

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Lumida Wealth

Ram is the CEO & Co-Founder of Lumida. Lumida is a digital-first Private Wealth Advisory firm focused on Alternatives & Digital Assets based in New York, Miami and Boston.

Prior to Lumida, Ram has 20+ years of experience in banking and asset management. 
Ram was an executive at Cross River a venture-backed B2B2C digital infrastructure bank. At Cross River, Ram was responsible for building the crypto business. The bank was the first FDIC-insured bank to obtain non-objection for its crypto business plan including crypto collateralized lending, buy/sell/custody of crypto via API, and crypto fiat ramps. 

Ram founded PeerIQ, a data & analytics firm, acquired by Cross River. PeerIQ provided risk management analytics to asset managers, banks, and regulators. PeerIQ’s research & insight has been featured in The Economist, WSJ, American Banker, NY Times and other leading publications.

Prior to PeerIQ, Ram was CIO of Winged Foot Capital, where he was responsible for managing alternative investment portfolios and investments in hedge funds, real estate, and late-stage venture capital. He has experience investing in a range of strategies including credit, liquid alts, and quantitative strategies. 

Before starting PeerIQ, Ram was an SVP at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch, where he was member of the Cards & Deposits executive management team responsible for investment decisioning a $120Bn credit portfolio. 

Prior to that role, Ram was a Vice President at Merrill Lynch in the Global Wealth Management business. 

Ram began his career in management consulting at Inductis where he was focused on the financial services sector, advising Fortune 50 financial firms on statistical decision-making frameworks for acquisition and risk modeling. He lives in NJ with his wife and three young kids.

Ram received a B.A. in Economics-Philosophy from Columbia University and is a CFA charterholder.
