Roy J. Katzovicz is the Founder and CEO of Saddle Point Management, L.P., a public and private equity investment firm. Mr. Katzovicz also serves as the Chief Executive Officer, as a director and as a member of the Investment Committee of Advanced Merger Partners, Inc., a blank check acquisition company.
Previously, Mr. Katzovicz served as a Partner, Investment Team Member and Chief Legal Officer of Pershing Square Capital Management, L.P., an investment manager of multibillion dollar hedge funds. Prior to joining Pershing Square, Mr. Katzovicz served as a corporate attorney at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where his practice focused on public and private mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, securities law matters and corporate governance initiatives.
Prior to private practice, he served as a judicial clerk to The Honorable William B. Chandler, Chancellor of the Delaware Court of Chancery. Mr. Katzovicz received his J.D. and B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Katzovicz served as a member of the SEC’s Investor Advisory Committee and previously served on the Buyside General Counsel Committee of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He also serves as a member of the Board of Advisors of the University of Pennsylvania’s Institute for Law & Economics. He is a Co-Founder and currently serves as Chairman of the Alexander Hamilton Society and is a former term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
