Tim Yip is an Executive Director at HSZ Group, leading the ILS division and managing two ILS Fund strategies. With over 20 years of experience in reinsurance and ILS, he has structured the first five pan-Asia catastrophe bonds and facilitated over $200 million in placements, earning the Asia Insurance Initiative of the Year award in 2021. Tim is the portfolio manager of the highest-performing cat bond strategy globally over the past five years, as tracked by the Eurekahedge ILS Advisers Fund Index. Prior to his current role, Tim held senior positions at Aon and Willis Towers Watson in Sydney, London and Hong Kong. He holds an Honors BSc in Actuarial Science from the University of Toronto and is a Fellow of both the US and UK actuarial societies.
