Head of Capital Introductions, IG Prime
Over the past 18 years, Michael has built extensive expertise across prime brokerage, capital introductions, investor relations, business development, and fundraising. He currently serves as Head of Capital Introductions at IG Prime, where he focuses on connecting hedge fund managers with institutional investors and supporting capital-raising initiatives.
Prior to joining IG Prime, Michael was Head of Asian Capital Introductions at Citi and founded Strathspey Partners, a boutique advisory firm focused on capital introduction and strategic business development for alternative investment managers. He later led capital introduction efforts at Lawson Conner, helping to expand the firm's presence across Europe, Asia, and North America.
Throughout his career, Michael has worked closely with hedge fund and private equity managers on fundraising, investor engagement, and long-term growth strategies. Based in Wales, UK, he continues to work extensively with investors and managers across the Asia-Pacific region.
Michael Denoon-Slater is a former Royal Naval Officer with more than 25 years of experience in financial services. He began his career as an equities analyst covering Greater China and Central Asia, based in Hong Kong and Kazakhstan, before specialising in the alternative investment industry.
