Mark Dand

With over 25 years of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity expertise, I'm a seasoned technology leader with a proven track record across enterprise, MSP, and high-growth environments. My career began as a desktop support engineer in 1999, quickly evolving into server engineering and expanding into network infrastructure and Linux administration through hands-on implementation projects. Throughout my career, I've gained extensive experience managing complex multi-platform environments, including Windows Server, Linux, Virtual Environments and Networking Infrastructure. At a leading MSP, I supported large-scale implementation projects while developing expertise across diverse technology stacks. Most recently, I spent over a decade at South Africa's largest non-bank home loan provider, where I progressed from Senior Server Engineer to Head of IT Infrastructure and Operations. In this leadership role, I oversaw a team of 21 professionals, including engineers, support staff, and administrators, while driving organisational security initiatives that became a core operational strength. Since relocating to the UK in 2023, I've focused on cybersecurity and network engineering, bringing my extensive infrastructure background and security expertise to my roles.
