Dan Rusbridge is Deputy Director for Personal Finances and Funds at HM Treasury. The team leads policy relating to asset management sector, including the Advice Guidance Boundary Review and retail investment, the consumer credit sector, including reform of the Consumer Credit Act, and also the government’s Financial Inclusion Strategy.

Since joining HM Treasury in 2012, Dan has shaped financial services policy across wholesale, retail, domestic, and international issues. He has led strategic policy teams, overseen responses to major redress events including PPI and motor finance, and designed key interventions such as the London Capital & Finance compensation scheme and the CLBILS Covid loan programme.

Prior to his civil service career, Dan worked as a financial adviser.
