Maki Mitsui

Maki Mitsui is a Managing Director - Partner and Senior Relationship Manager responsible for overseeing Investor Relations in Japan. She is based in Tokyo.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Ms. Mitsui was with the Equity Division and then the Private Equity Group at Merrill Lynch in Tokyo. She provided placement services to private equity and real estate funds from 1997 to 2002, when institutional investors in Japan started to invest in alternative assets. Before that, she was with the International Equity Division at Credit Suisse First Boston and worked in Tokyo and New York.

Ms. Mitsui received a BA in political science from Keio University. Ms. Mitsui held a Series 7 license (1992 to 2002), a Series 63 license (1993 to 2002), a Series 3 license (1993 to 2002) and Japan Securities Dealers Association Class 1 (since 1992), Class 2 (since 1991) and Internal Control Managers (since 1995) licenses.

2002年に入社し、国内外のプライベートエクイティ、インフラストラクチャー、不動産、プライベート クレジット、航空機ファイナンス等の広範な商品を国内投資家へ紹介するインベスター・リレーションズ担当。同業務に従事するCarlyle Japan Equity Management LLCの日本における代表者。

25年超にわたりプライベート資産関連業務に従事しており、1997年より在籍したメリルリンチ日本証券（当時）においては、オルタナティブ資産のプレースメント業務を投資銀行部門内に立ち上げ、世界有数のマネージャーを国内機関投資家に紹介。それ以前はCSファースト・ボストン証券（当時）の東京及びニューヨーク事務所において外国株式営業に従事。

一般社団法人 日本プライベート・エクイティ協会 理事、一般社団法人 ソーシャル インベストメント パートナーズ アドバイザー。

慶應義塾大学法学部政治学科卒。
