James O'Sullivan

Policy Manager, Markets Policy Division, Central Bank of Ireland

James O’Sullivan is currently responsible for managing funds policy at the Central Bank of Ireland.  This role includes responsibility for the Central Bank’s domestic regulatory framework for funds as well as European and international policy initiatives.  It involves representing the Central Bank at a range of European and International fora.  This includes the Investment Management Committee (C5) at the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and the Investment Management Standing Committee (IMSC) at the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).  In December 2021, James will take up a new position within the organisation as Head of Function for Funds Authorisation, in the Securities & Markets Funds Division.
