Paul Chadwick

AIMA Global Council Member, Founding Partner, Managing Director, Nanuk Asset Management

Paul Chadwick is the Managing Director and a founder of Nanuk Asset Management, a Sydney based firm formed in late 2009 that specializes in global investments related to environmental sustainability and resource scarcity. 

Previously, Paul was the Managing Director of GMO Australasia where, until retirement in mid 2008, he was the head of Systematic Global Macro Strategies as well as having responsibility for the overall management of the firm’s Australian and Singaporean operations. Prior to GMO, he held senior roles in global tactical asset allocation and derivatives trading at Westpac Investment Management and, earlier, senior positions in equity derivatives and quantitative analysis at the stockbroking firm James Capel Australia.  His more than thirty years career in finance has followed approximately ten years in aeronautical engineering and airline management in the USA and Australia respectively.

Paul holds degrees in Science and Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Sydney and is the current Asia Pacific board member on the Global Council of the Alternative Investment Managers Association.
