Americas Membership Analyst/Associate

AIMA, a global trade association representing the hedge fund and private credit industries seeks an Americas Membership Analyst/Associate in New York to engage and grow our expanding membership in that region.
Responsibilities:
The Americas Membership Analyst/Associate will report to the Global Head of Membership and work closely with the Head of Americas to support and grow the membership.
The mandate is broad, but primary responsibilities include:
Membership development
- Respond to inbound interest in AIMA membership in the Americas
- Follow up leads introduced by colleagues
- Desk research to identify new launches
- Update marketing/sales materials in line with company’s branding guidelines
- Manage sales pipeline to ensure regular follow up of existing leads
- Participate in regular pipeline meetings with global membership team
- Assisting with senior staff trip preparation
- Attending meetings with existing and prospective members
- Accompanying senior staff to meetings with existing and prospective members with the aim of:
- Learning about AIMA’s product and value proposition
- Understanding the membership base
- Taking notes of the meeting for senior staff
- Eventually, initiating and leading meetings with existing and prospective members.
Membership engagement
- Onboard newly joined members
- Run annual renewal campaign:
- Following up on outstanding renewals
- Keeping the Global Head of Membership, COO and Head of Americas informed and regularly updated with progress
- Run quarterly engagement report, identifying at-risk members.
The successful individual will demonstrate most of, if not all, of the following:
- An aptitude for sales and client service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in hedge fund and/or the private credit industry is desirable, however an individual with a willingness and aptitude to learn these sectors will also be considered. Have the ability and interest to learn new, often technical, subject areas including investment, regulatory, compliance, and operational topics
- Proficiency in CRM and pipeline management
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and short and long-term deadlines
- Willingness to travel for events and meetings as needed
- Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Be self-motivated, confident and possess a strong work ethic
- Flexibility to pitch-in as needed as part of a small, collaborative team
- The ability to work under pressure and to represent AIMA professionally.
AIMA is a hybrid working environment and this is a full-time role based in our New York office.
A bachelor’s degree and eligibility to work in the United States are required. Disclaimer: The annual base salary range for this position is $60,000-$75,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Please note that the annual base salary range provided is a general guideline and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. These factors include, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, years of work experience, work location, education/training, internal peer equity, and external market data.
