AIMA and the ACC are pleased to present this summary note on the recently finalised European Securitisation Regulation which establishes common rules on securitisation, and creates a European framework for simple, transparent and standardised (STS) securitisation. The note provides a summary of the key changes brought about by the Regulation, how these will impact investors, originators, original lenders, sponsors, risk retention methodologies and disclosure requirements, and the jurisdictional scope of the Regulation.
