The FCA’s New Non-Financial Misconduct Rule: Practical Insights for Firms

UK Virtual event

With the FCA’s new non-financial misconduct rule set to come into force on 1 September 2026, firms face heightened regulatory expectations around workplace conduct and individual accountability. The new rule extends the scope of COCON beyond traditional financial misconduct, making serious bullying, harassment and violence capable of constituting Conduct Rule breaches, while new guidance provides greater clarity on how misconduct should be assessed under both COCON and FIT.

In this webinar, marking the launch of our new guide, The FCA's New Non-Financial Misconduct Rule and Guidance, produced in partnership with Travers Smith. Speakers will provide a practical overview of the new rule and guidance. They will explore the FCA’s approach to conduct in private life, regulatory references, managerial accountability and the interaction with employment law.
