ACC Webinar: Understanding the Federal Reserve's New Private Credit Survey
The Alternative Credit Council (ACC) is pleased to invite members to a webinar with representatives from the Federal Reserve Banks of New York and Dallas to discuss their new joint survey of the US private credit market.
Announced in August 2026, the initiative aims to improve understanding of lending activity and credit conditions in the US direct lending market. During this webinar, representatives from both Federal Reserve Banks will provide an overview of the initiative and address key questions for private credit managers, including:
- Objectives and scope: What the Federal Reserve hopes to learn about private credit lending conditions and how the findings will be used.
- Participation and eligibility: Which firms are eligible, how managers can participate and what will be expected of respondents.
- Survey content: The proposed questions covering lending standards, credit demand, origination activity and borrower conditions across different market segments.
- Confidentiality and reporting: How individual responses will be protected and how aggregate findings will be published.
- Next steps: The timetable for the pilot survey and plans to establish a regular quarterly data series
This webinar will provide an opportunity for ACC members to hear directly from the Federal Reserve teams leading the initiative, better understand the practical implications for participating firms and ask questions ahead of the survey's launch. It is likely to be of interest to private credit managers and relevant investment, research, risk and reporting professionals.
