The Securities & Futures Act (Amendment) Act 2017 introduced a series of changes to Singapore’s Securities & Futures Act (Cap. 289) including new opt-in (for prospective investors) and opt-out (for existing investors) mechanisms for investors falling into the class of Accredited Investors (AIs). The new regime will come into effect on 8 January 2019.
