Panel Overview
With continued volatility in digital asset markets, evolving US regulatory uncertainty and the rapid mainstreaming of crypto exposure through ETFs and institutional products, governance and service providers are under growing pressure to understand how digital assets operate and where the real risks sit.
Fund directors, administrators, lawyers and auditors are increasingly being asked to oversee strategies involving digital assets - often without the same familiarity with the operational, custody, insurance, counterparty and banking risk dynamics that exist in traditional finance.
This panel will explore the practical risk considerations relevant to fund boards and service providers, including:
- Custody and safeguarding of digital assets
- Counterparty and exchange exposure
- Insurance and risk transfer solutions
- Banking and treasury considerations
- Regulatory and structuring developments
- Key questions directors should be asking managers
Moderator:
- Tim Rossiter, Chair of AIMA Cayman and Founder of Interesting Things Advisory
Speakers:
- John D’Agostino, Head of Strategy, Coinbase
- James C. Knox, Esq., Managing Director, Technology & Blockchain Industry-Regional Practice Leader, Aon Risk Solutions
- Jerome Ebanks, Chief Executive Officer, FundBank Ltd.
- Lucy Frew, Partner, Walkers
All AIMA Cayman members and conference attendees are welcome to attend.
