AIMA Hong Kong: The Future of Impact Funds & Sustainable Investing in Asia

Hong Kong

AIMA  invite you to join our afternoon seminar where you will learn first hand from a panel discussion on Responsible Investment.

Investing on the basis of environmental and social factors, as well as incorporating good governance (now collectively referred to as ESG criteria) is not new. However, investors across the world are becoming increasingly aware of the need to measure and manage the ESG impact of their investments. They are also asking questions of their managers as to how such issues and risks are managed, to what extent such criteria are incorporated into the implementation of fund strategies and for more information on investment opportunities linked to a sustainability purpose.  In addition, we are starting to see private equity, hedge and other alternative investment funds raising their ESG awareness and collaborating with and hiring experts in this field in order to develop their own ESG strategies.

Ogier investment funds partner Kate Hodson will be moderating a panel of experts to discuss their insights and experiences on this topic from the Asia perspective, including on questions such as: We have seen a greater pace of change in Europe but are we now seeing a turn in the tide for regulation in Asia?  What are the opportunities for ESG and impact investing in Asia and for Asian fund managers?  What are the specific areas of impact that are of interest to investors in Asia? What are the key factors that will contribute to the transition towards more sustainable investing in Asia?
