AIMA APAC December FMB : Decoding ESG and the practical considerations for alternative asset managers

Hong Kong

AIMA APAC invites you to join our webinar on 4 December 2020.

The session has now been moved to a webinar in light of the current COVID-19 outbreak.

Investors’ pressures and evolving regulations are urging asset managers to enhance their end-to-end operating models to embrace Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investing. As managing climate risk is now a fundamental priority for sophisticated investors and regulators across the globe, the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has recently launched a consultation on ‘proposed requirements for fund managers to take climate-related risks into consideration’, setting out the regulatory expectations to require fund managers to take climate-related risk considerations in the areas of governance, investment management, risk management and disclosures.

What is the blueprint for your firm to embrace and comply with this new reality? In order for alternative asset managers to successfully develop their ESG practices, it is crucial that they understand the implications of ESG on their operating model and value chain. In this fund manager briefing session, our speakers from PwC Hong Kong will cover the practical considerations for asset managers to integrate ESG into their business and investment decisions.
