AIMA Hong Kong Fund Manager Briefing: Beyond the New CIMA AML & Sanctions Rules: Practical Priorities for Cayman Fund Managers
AIMA invites you to this fund manager briefing on Tuesday 10 November 2026.
The new CIMA AML and sanctions rules, effective from 18 September 2026, place greater emphasis on the effectiveness of regulated entities’ compliance programmes, governance and accountability. This practical session will consider what the changes mean for Cayman fund managers and their governing bodies, with particular focus on risk-based implementation, oversight of outsourced AML functions, independent AML audits, sanctions controls and practical readiness for regulatory scrutiny.
The session will also cover related governance and operational considerations, including how managers can demonstrate effective oversight, address remediation findings and translate the new requirements into proportionate actions.
