AIMA Hong Kong Fund Manager Briefing: Redemptions in Distress – Legal, Liquidity & Strategy Considerations

Hong Kong In-person

AIMA invites you to this fund manager briefing on Thursday 4 June 2026.

When expected liquidity doesn’t materialise, redemption rights often become a source of dispute rather than exit. This session cuts through how redemption provisions work in practice, and what happens when they are tested.

Our speakers will look at typical problem areas, the growing use of winding up petitions by redeemed investors, and how redemption claims are treated in an insolvency. It will also explore just and equitable petitions as a tactical tool where relationships break down or confidence in management is lost.

The session is designed to give fund managers a clear, practical view of risk, leverage and exit options in Cayman structures.
