AIMA Hong Kong Seminar: Cyber Security
With the rise of cyber-attacks as seen in the recent hacks affecting Singapore’s SingHealth (over 1.5 million individuals), Cathay Pacific (over 9.4 million customers) and Marriott/Starwood (over 383 million customers), it has become more important than ever for hedge and private fund managers to consider the extent of cyber risks in their business and know what they can do to manage this risk.
The potential fall-out from a hack includes not just reputational damage, but also direct financial losses, business interruption and lawsuits from affected parties.
During the session, the panel will consider a case study and discuss:
- An overview of the latest attack trends and ramifications;
- Key considerations for investment managers in responding to cyber incidents;
- Interactions with law enforcement agencies, regulators and investors; and
- Risk limitation and transfer mechanisms including cyber insurance.
