AIMA Hong Kong Seminar: Fund Life Decisions - Extend, Reboot or Exit ?
AIMA invites you to join our afternoon seminar on Thursday, 29 May 2025.
As higher capital costs challenge access to credit and refinancing, funds face increased scrutiny and pressure on valuations. Managing a regulated fund may have become difficult due to reduced net asset values and fees, prompting both managers and investors to consider cost-effective solutions and potentially alternative structures or an orderly wind down.
This session explores the relevant considerations when exploring an extension of fund life versus rebooting with a restructured approach or an orderly wind down. Key considerations include valuation, conflicts of interest, and communication gaps and different expectations between investment managers and investors. We will also discuss various structural solutions, including secondaries and bespoke arrangements, while emphasising the need for realistic expectations in relation to fair value and pricing.
