With the rise of cyber attacks as seen in the recent SingHealth hack (affecting more than 1.5 million individuals) and the Cathay Pacific hack (affecting more than 9.4 million individuals), it has become more important than ever for investment managers to consider the extent of cyber risks in their business and know what they can do to manage this risk.
The potential fall-out from a hack includes not just reputational damage, but also direct financial losses, business interruption and lawsuits from affected parties.
