AIMA Singapore Seminar: EU Securities Financing Transactions Regulation

Singapore

AIMA Singapore invites you to join us at our upcoming lunchtime seminar.

The EU Securities Financing Transactions Regulation (SFTR) introduces various requirements for counterparties for securities financing transactions. One of the most challenging aspects will be the new obligation on EU participants to report the details of their transactions to trade repositories. A number of practical questions remain outstanding in APAC about how firms are expected to implement and comply with these reporting requirements.

In this seminar, panellists from DTCC and Clifford Chance will discuss some of the key questions and practical implementation challenges in APAC arising from ongoing work to prepare for reporting, what firms should watch out for in the final ESMA guidelines published on 6 January 2020, and what firms in APAC can expect from regulators increasingly focussed on accurate and timely reporting (including changes relating to OTC derivatives).

Speakers:
Paul Landless, Partner, Clifford Chance
Miles Binney, Senior Associate, Clifford Chance
Priya Kundamal, Regional Head of Product Management, DTCC
