Japanese Ministry of Finance Webinar: Updates on International Financial Center Initiatives
You are cordially invited by the Japanese Ministry of Finance to attend an invitation-only program on December 6.
As introduced in our March webinar, the Japanese government is committed to expanding Japan’s role as an international finance center. Since the webinar, a number of overseas asset managers have contacted a newly established one-stop English contact, known as the Financial Market Entry Office, and four of those managers have completed registration on an all-in-English track under the Financial Instrument and Exchange Act (as of November 11). The Japanese government seems to have made promising strides despite the ongoing pandemic, but how successful have they actually been? What was the experience of the new entrants? What are the remaining challenges and how can they be overcome?
Ms. Saiko Nakagawa, Director for Asset Management Business, and Mr. Takuma Tanaka, Deputy Director of the Strategy Development Division, Financial Services Agency, will recap the government’s initiatives and provide updates on the progress, achievements, and additional measures to come. They are also happy to answer any questions you may have. Please find the bios in the registration page below.
