Taxation Update:   Country Focus - Hong Kong, India and US

In this session, Paul Ho, Shyamala Vyravipillai and Michael Stenske from EY will discuss key issues relating to recent tax changes in Hong Kong, India and the United States of America that are relevant for managers and their products for 2017.

 

They will provide an update around Hong Kong CRS, OFC regime and proposed transfer pricing rules.  

 

Topics to be covered include the recent Indian regulatory changes impacting FPI investments and the impact of MLI on India-Singapore and India-Mauritius tax treaty.  

 

They will also discuss recent US tax developments around s.871(m) final and temporary regulations, proposed regulations on new partnership audit regime and California’s market-based sourcing rules.

AIMA’s Fund Manager Training programme in Hong Kong is scheduled to occur on the second Tuesday of each month (adjusted for holidays) and the presentations will generally be scheduled to begin at 08:30 and will last 60 or 90 minutes depending on the topic.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to representatives of 20 manager member firms, allowing attendance of one representative per firm please. Where programmes become oversubscribed, we operate a waiting list and ask that confirmed attendees notify us by noon on the day before the programme if their plans change and they are unable to attend so seats can be allotted to those on the waiting list.
