Following the success of the inaugural AIMA Innovation Day in 2024, the conference returned in 2025, further establishing itself as a key event dedicated to technology, data and AI in the alternative investment industry. Held in London, this one-day event explored how digital innovation and technological advances are shaping the global industry, covering everything from trading and execution through to asset raising, data security and regulatory compliance.
Insights from the 2024 AIMA survey on Generative AI (Gen AI) highlighted the rapid pace of adoption across the industry, with a quarter of larger hedge funds expecting Gen AI tools to become part of their investment decision-making process within 12 months, and 86% of managers already allowing such tools to support employees’ work. Data security also remained a key focus, with 80% of organisations planning to increase their spending on information security (Gartner).
With a programme comprising both plenary sessions and focused breakouts, participants were able to explore in detail how their firms could best leverage innovative solutions provided by the vendor community to boost efficiencies and stay ahead of the curve.
The event also featured a broad range of exhibitors, offering attendees the opportunity to engage directly with leading technology providers across the investment management industry.
