Published: 06 December 2016

The EU has announced a public consultation on the functioning of mutual assistance between EU Member States for the recovery of taxes under Directive 2010/24 (here). The purpose of this consultation is: (i) to gather views from stakeholders other than tax administrations about their experience of the current rules concerning mutual assistance for the recovery of tax claims across borders; (ii) to bring new insights for the evaluation of the Directive; and (iii)  to obtain information on the further improvement of the legal, administrative or technical framework. The discussion process is closing on 8 March 2017. For further information, please contact Paul Hale or Enrique Clemente.
