You chose Options 1A, 2D, 3A and 4A.

Based on these selections, an investment manager should complete the following modules:

  1. Either (i) Modules 1, 2 and 3 (i.e., the basic investment manager set up) or (ii) the short form manager module, in either case with the responsible investment ("RI") module;
  2. The fund of funds ("FOF") module; and
  3. Either (i) the open-end private fund module or (ii) the short form open-end fund module (without the strategy questions).

For your convenience, these modules have been assembled together into a basic set up version and a short form version which are both presented below.

The short form manager portion of this module represents a subset of the questions found in the Basic Investment Manager Set Up, while the short form open-end fund module represents a sub-set of the questions in the Open-End Private Fund Module. The short form option is available to everyone, but is often preferred by emerging managers and managers who want a simplified form to use with investors in the initial stages of the operational due diligence process.

One fund

For investment managers that manage only one fund using this strategy, the versions of the DDQ accesible via the links below are the best possible places to start.  Select the one that works best for your intended use.  The version marked short form is a subset of the questions in the other document.

Multiple funds under the basic set up

For investment managers that manage more than one fund using this strategy and have selected the basic setup approach, it may be easier to complete the Basic Investment Manager Set Up + RI + FOF module once and complete a separate open-end private fund module for each fund.  Because of the hyperlinks in the documents, separate files have been created for additional funds.  Simply duplicating the fund-related parts in the basic setup above or using the document for Fund 1 multiple times will lead to the hyperlinks not functioning as they should.  The separate modules are accessible via the links below.

Multiple funds under the short form

For investment managers that manage more than one fund using this strategy and have selected the short form approach, it may be easier to complete the short form manager + RI + FOF module once and complete a separate short form open-end fund module (without the strategy questions) for each fund.  Because of the hyperlinks in the documents, separate files have been created for additional funds.  Simply duplicating the fund-related parts in the basic setup above or using the document for Fund 1 multiple times will lead to the hyperlinks not functioning as they should.  The separate modules are accessible via the links below.
