Jack Inglis
Chief Executive Officer
Jack Inglis is the Chief Executive Officer of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA*), a position he has held since 2014. He has been in the financial services industry and closely involved with hedge funds for over 40 years. Jack has held senior management positions at both Morgan Stanley, where he served for 16 years, and Barclays, where he was prior to joining AIMA. From 2007 to 2010 he was CEO of London based hedge fund manager, Ferox Capital Management. He served as a non-executive director of London Capital Group plc from 2007 to 2010 and was on the on the board of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA), which was co-founded by AIMA, until the end of 2023. He began his career in 1983 at UK stockbrokers James Capel (which was subsequently acquired by HSBC) and has extensive experience in origination, distribution, financing and trading across the fixed income and equity capital markets. Jack holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Cambridge University.
Jack is also Chair of the charity HFC Help for Children UK Affiliate Board and took up this role in January 2020.

Lucian Firth is a partner at Simmons & Simmons and provides specialist advice to managers in relation to investment funds, including structuring hedge funds and co-investment arrangements. Lucian has extensive experience working with new and emerging managers, including negotiating spin-outs, revenue sharing arrangements and seed deals as well as advising on the structuring and launch of funds and the negotiation of strategic seed deal managed accounts.

James Askar

James Askar is Global Head of Investment Analytics at Man Group. His unit is responsible for producing all analytics and reporting on Man Groups range of products including long only equity and fixed income funds, alternative equity and fixed income funds, macro & multi asset funds, as well as private & real estate products. His ESG journey started in 2017 when his team designed and built Man Group's first "ESG tool" which is an interactive platform to show an ever increasing amount of ESG/RI data on a range of funds and also includes stewardship and voting data. He has worked on commercialisation of ESG/RI analytics at Man for clients and has generated meaningful revenue for Man Group providing these services on external portfolios for clients. James is part of Man's RI leadership team and has been actively involved in helping to form and design Man Group's RI frame work especially in calculation methodology and the use of ESG/RI data. He is also heavily involved in regulatory implementation and has worked on SFDR, TCFD, SDR and net zero amongst other initiatives. He specialises in dealing with alternative asset classes, how to account for short positions, different asset classes and derivatives when calculating emissions and other RI data.

Nick Colston

Nick Colston is a partner in the Financial Services Regulation group at Simmons & Simmons in London. Nick specialises in advising buy-side firms on all aspects of the UK and EU regulatory regimes. Nick’s primary focus is advising alternative fund managers (both in the UK and globally) on regulatory issues including EU law, compliance with the FCA Rules, client documentation, compliance policies and procedures, anti-financial crime requirements and cross-border business. Nick is at the forefront of advising on the impact of regulatory change on fund managers, including MiFID 2, AIFMD, MAR, and the Short Selling Regulation. He is advising widely on the implementation of ESG regulations in the UK and EU, including carrying out scoping and impact analysis work for many leading asset management firms, advising on business changes and processes, and drafting updated documentation.

Salma Moolji is the European ESG Lead at Ares Asset Management. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, Ms. Moolji was an ESG Executive and Climate Change Lead at CDC Group, the UK's Development Finance Institute focusing on ESG across private markets investments, and strategic climate change initiatives. Previously, she was a Sustainability Consultant at Verisk Maplecroft and held positions with the UN, Chatham House and in the field. Ms. Moolji holds a B.A. (Hons) from McGill University in International Development and an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics (LSE).

Daniella is the founder of Danesmead ESG providing ESG services to investment managers. She is also a member of the PRI Hedge Fund Advisory Committee and AIMA’s Responsible Investment Working Group.
Prior to that Daniella worked at Arrowgrass Capital. She sat on Arrowgrass’ Business Committee and led the ESG Committee, managing the launch of a socially responsible investment vehicle, PRI reporting, carbon offsetting and representing Arrowgrass on the PRI Relative Value Hedge Fund Working Group.
Daniella started her career at Goldman Sachs working primarily in the Hedge Fund Consulting team in Prime Brokerage.

Justin Kew heads up ESG research covering both public equities and private markets in Balyasny Asset Management since September 2021. Prior to this, he heads up ESG research in Carmignac for more than 2 years where he built up the ESG research and investment capabilities. Prior to Carmignac, Justin worked as a Senior ESG Analyst at Fidelity International. He also spent a few years in Schroders and J.P. Morgan. Justin is a CFA charter holder and holds a Master in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the University of Sheffield.

Argi joined Neuberger Berman in 2022, stepping into the role of ESG Policy and Regulatory Strategist within the ESG Investing team. In this capacity, she plays a pivotal role in guiding the firm through the complexities of ESG policy and regulatory requirements and ensuring effective engagement with policymakers and key external stakeholders. Prior to joining Neuberger Berman, Argi was part of Abrdn's Public Affairs team, where she focused ESG policy matters. She previously worked at the European External Action Service (EEAS) in Brussels and the Spanish Mission to the United Nations in New York.
Argi is originally from Venezuela and is fluent in Spanish, English and French. She holds a Law and International Relations Degree from Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid, Spain, and a MA in European Political and Governance Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.

Trysha Daskam specializes in interpreting the impact of global regulation on a firm’s ESG efforts and regulatory compliance program. Specifically, she develops and advises on ESG programs (including developing ESG policies and procedures) for investment firms, helps these firms respond to investors’ ESG questions and designs and implements ESG diligence, monitoring and reporting processes. A frequent speaker and commentator on a wide range of ESG topics related to the investment management industry, Trysha is an Officer of the Sustainability Investment Leadership Council and a member of the GWU Board of ESG Ambassadors. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Denver and a Master’s of Public Health from The George Washington University where she concentrated on International Economics and Global Health Policy.

Estelle is a Director at ACA Group, the leading governance, risk, and compliance consulting and technology firm. She is the compliance lead on sustainability related regulations within the ESG Advisory practice. Previously running the in-house compliance program at a global asset manager, she joined ACA in 2020 working closely with international asset managers to implement and develop their regulatory framework and oversee their compliance. Estelle then joined ACA’s ESG division, as a regulatory specialist, linking the increasing regulation with the sustainability implementation work. She provides compliance and sustainability expertise to develop and enhance ESG programs and sustainability related disclosures based on regulatory requirements, oversight processes and best practices. Her work include advice to managers in sectors such as private and public equity, infrastructure, venture, credit, structured products, real estate, hedge fund and other alternative investments. As a member of the International Compliance Association, Estelle believes strongly in the trusted partner role that compliance plays in advising and steering the investment industry to address pressing environmental and social issues. Estelle studied both Biology and Business and Administration Management in Paris (France), and holds an international diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance from Alliance Manchester Business School as well as the Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute.

Kris Nathanail

Kris joined IOSCO in October 2018. As a senior policy advisor, she is IOSCO’s appointed lead for the Follow-Up Group on Cross-Border Regulation; IOSCO’s working group on market fragmentation. Kris also works on financial stability through the Board-level financial stability engagement group and has participated in work on money market funds as well as margin practices among other things. She also leads IOSCO’s work on sustainable finance, notably relating to sustainability reporting, carbon markets and ESG data and ratings providers.
Before joining IOSCO, Kris spent 4 years at the UK Financial Conduct Authority where she was senior advisor to the Director of Policy and acted as manager of the Brexit Policy team. Prior to that Kris was a senior advisor within the asset management & funds policy team where she led and contributed to a number of domestic and international initiatives, including the ESRB’s and the FSB’s shadow banking workstreams, and IOSCO C5 and ESMA investment management standing committee related work.
Kris has a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in North American and European Political Affairs from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Kris also holds an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.

Taggart leads Government Affairs in the EMEA region for PGIM, a leading global asset manager with $1.3T of assets under management (fixed-income, liquid alternatives, real estate, private credit, equities). Taggart helps the firm navigate an increasingly complex regulatory landscape and seek policies to enable PGIM to better serve its investors.
Previously Taggart served as Managing Director and Head of EU Government Affairs at Managed Funds Association (MFA), a global trade body representing the alternative asset management sector. From 2011-2022, Taggart led J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.’s Brussels Government Relations office. From 2008-2011, Taggart served as a Parliamentary Assistant in the European Parliament. Taggart served on the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU).
Taggart grew up in New Jersey and completed his Bachelor's degree at the University of Montana before moving to Europe. He completed his Masters at University of Essex in the UK. Taggart is an American/Belgian dual-national. He enjoys music, cooking, language practice, Belgian beers, reading and travelling. Taggart lives in Brussels, Belgium with his wife and two daughters.
