Cayman and BVI: FATCA and CRS

The Cayman Islands Department for International Tax Cooperation (DITC) has issued an industry advisory notice giving a final extension of the 2017 reporting deadline for FATCA and CRS to 31 August 2017. The date by which Cayman financial institutions must register for CRS or amend their existing FATCA and UK CDOT registrations remains 31 July 2017.

The BVI International Tax Authority has also recently announced that the deadlines for registration for CRS has been extended to 31 July 2017 and for submission of CRS reports to 18 August 2017.
