Trade Associations Submit Letter to ESAs on Securitisation Regulation

Published: 12 December 2022

On 9 December, the AIMA and the ACC joined a collection of financial service associations to submit a letter to the Joint Committee of the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) regarding the Securitisation Regulation. The letter requests that the Commission or the Joint Committee of the ESAs issue enforcement guidance that NCAs should apply their day-to-day supervision and enforcement of Article 5(1)(e) in a proportionate and risk-based manner until the expected simplified reporting for private securitisations is available to permit issuers to comply with the Article 7 requirements.  The letter was co-singed by AFME, EFAMA, IACPM, Insurance Europe, MFA, ICMA, ISDA, TSI, ASF, SIFMA and the SFA.
