Working Group to develop a position paper on the Credit servicers directive

Published: 17 April 2018

AIMA and the Alternative Credit Council (ACC) are seeking volunteers to form a small group of active participants to assist with the production of an AIMA/ACC position paper in relation to the proposed Directive on credit servicers, credit purchasers and the recovery of collateral that will be of interest to members who are involved in the secondary market for bank loans. The group will also support AIMA and the ACC’s work on the Consumer Protection (Regulation of Credit  Servicing Firms) Bill that has been proposed in Ireland. This group will be particularly active over the next few months.

If you would like to participate in this group please register your interest by contacting Nicholas Smith by Wednesday 2 May. The draft produced will also be circulated to relevant working groups and committees for review and comment in due course, meaning that members may still get to see the draft in advance of it being published in final form even if they are not chosen to participate on this group.  Members are of course also welcome to send Nicholas their feedback on the proposals, preferably before the end of April.
