On August 31, 2026, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission voted to extend the compliance date for the current Form PF from October 1, 2026 to July 1, 2027.  This extension is welcome and was widely anticipated given statements made in the proposing release for the new changes to be made to the Form PF.  The July 1, 2027 date also signals that the work on the new requirements is expected to be finalized before the end of June next year. 

As a reminder, the April proposing release suggested a 12-month transition period from the adoption of the new requirements to the compliance date for the new requirements.
