New systemic risk reporting discussion forum starting

Published: 25 June 2018

Systemic risk reporting, whether it is on Form PF or the Annex IV form, can be burdensome.  We think that members may appreciate having the ability to raise technical questions with others facing the same questions.

AIMA is working on a technology-based solution for knowledge sharing and we hope to be able to roll something out later this year.  In the meantime, we are calling for interested parties to join a reporting discussion forum group where people can circulate questions to the group. Individual members will be able to either respond back to the group or follow up bilaterally with the person who asked the original question.  This will require people who volunteer to give their permission for us to share their names and email addresses with the other volunteers and acknowledge that this may lead to some long email chains developing in their inboxes.

Given that this is about reporting and often it is service providers who have information, this will be a group that will be open to all types of members but we ask that the people joining the group are the persons responsible for the technical aspects of this type of reporting.  For service provider members seeking to join this group, please be on notice that we will be seeking to enforce an honour system of not using this facility to market products or services.  Once we get a critical mass of volunteers, we will circulate to the group the relevant details to get this started.  If you are interested in participating, please contact Jennifer Wood.
