9:40am Panel | Progress towards a Capital Markets Union: where are we and what’s next?
This panel will shine a light on the European Commission’s CMU project, looking in particular at the latest position when it comes to the overhaul of the AIFMD and ELTIF frameworks. It will cover issues including delegation, third-country funds’ access to EU investors, loan funds regulation and liquidity risk management tools. Should the industry be preparing for radical change or incremental adjustment to the status quo?

Across all aspects of rulemaking, sustainable finance remains a focus. This panel will look at implications for managers, addressing issues including disclosure, corporate reporting and the treatment of ratings providers. It will also focus on the question of global consistency of requirements, looking at challenges for firms that operate in multiple jurisdictions.
